It's been a busy past month at work as we gear up for the event in May. I have to constantly remind myself to take deep breathes and to relax - need to keep the stress under control. It's only necessary for my mental health but also for physical health; the CPPS has been flaring up because of everything that is going on.
And then there's Silly Season to contend with. Mad, harried shopping expeditions are necessary over the next two days. This weekend we are hosting our annual Xmas dinner, which I am looking forward to. We head to Gabriola Island on Monday and back home on Boxing Day.
New Year's will find us in Vancouver. As part of my Xmas present, Stephen has booked us a nice suite in a hotel in the west end. The venue we are getting our party on at is only a few blocks away, which alleviates that early morning angst of trying to catch a cab.
That's it for now. Remember when you are out and about, be considerate and pleasant to everyone you come in contact with. This is the time of joy and the anticipation of the return of the light (solstice)!
