I found yesterday that I am being promoted from a Clerk 9 to a Clerk 14, with a pay jump (from what I can tell it's $3 more an hour).  What a great way to start my weekend. :-)

Christmas is over

We had a nice visit with my in-laws over Christmas.  We went up-island the afternoon of Christmas Eve.  I think I easily gained back all of the weight I managed to lose over the past few months in one day. Oh well. We came back home on Boxing Day; our niece caught a lift back to Victoria and the dogs were more than happy to snuggle up with her while she napped.

We're off to Raincouver on Sunday for New Year's.  S has booked us flights over on the floatplane, and has also rented a king size suite at a hotel in the West End for the two nights we'll be there.  I'm gonna feel like a rock star. ;-)
